Risks & FAQ

AI agent trading on Bitnxs is experimental and executes real orders on your live account. LLMs can be confidently wrong: the agent is instructed to always take a decisive position and avoid hedged language, so a confident tone is not evidence of a good trade. Keep Analysis mode on, check every action and size positions so a mistake is affordable.

  • Real money, test build. Confirmed orders go to the live exchange.
  • Wrong or overconfident calls. The agent’s instructions require a direct long / short / wait answer and forbid words like “may” or “perhaps”.
  • Full-auto mode executes proposed actions, including orders, without confirmation.
  • No automatic stop-loss. The agent cannot set TP/SL; a position it opens has no stop unless you add one. See Order types & TP/SL.
  • Partial batches. Batched orders are sent one by one; some can fail while others fill.
  • Leverage and liquidation. The agent keeps your current leverage but positions can still be liquidated. See Liquidation.
  • Key exposure. Your LLM API key is stored in the browser; an API key leaked from your own bot can trade (but not withdraw).

The agent panel is part of the app. You pay your LLM provider for usage with your own API key, and normal trading fees apply to any fills.

Any model served from an OpenAI-compatible /v1/chat/completions endpoint that supports streaming. The default is OpenAI gpt-4o-mini.

Will the agent trade without my permission?

Section titled “Will the agent trade without my permission?”

Not in Analysis mode (the default): every action waits in Pending actions for Confirm & execute. In Full-auto mode, yes.

No. There is intentionally no leverage action; it varies position size instead.

No. The agent has no withdraw or transfer action, and Bitnxs API keys have no withdrawal permission.

Can it place market orders or cancel orders?

Section titled “Can it place market orders or cancel orders?”

No. It places limit orders only and cannot cancel or modify them; do that in the order panel.

Yes. Each turn it receives your balances, positions, open orders, the count of active TP/SL orders and market data.
